Shit like this is what makes Charizard being a shillmon so much worse. Its so goddamn weak. Since gen 1 it was a poseur dragon, and only was thought to be strong based on aesthetics alone, when in reality it is a weak garbage mon that needs three (3) gimmicks to even compete.

Milotic (and Gastrodon) : depends which starter you choose. Those pokemon are the best against CHARIZAAAARRRRDDD but if Leon chose Rillaboom, then they are fucked.
Spiritomb : Literally the only mon Leon can't do shit against (and also kills his 2 ghost types).

Starters were all generally shit before gen V weather wars + hidden abilities. Then gen 6 came around and fucked up more starters with megas and now we've never been able to go back.
