Did l miss out never having an N64 for Stadium, a Gamecube for Colloseum, or a Wii for Ranch and Battle Revolution?

A little bit for Stadium and the Colo/GoD. PBR stank a bit due to some crappy design decisions and you can go without playing it without missing much (if anything) I feel.
But Stadium and it's sequel were like a Battle Frontier for Gens 1 and 2. You had the ability to play the Gameboy games on your TV at up to x4 speed, 4 rulesets to battle under, a gym leader castle that rewards beating the Champion with a one-time only Pokemon in Stadium 1 or a Move Relearner in Stadium 2.
Colosseum and Gale of Darkness supplemented the GBA games at the time well. Colosseum gave you almost every Johto Mon to trade to your GBA games with Gale of Darkness filling in the blanks as well as adding Pokemon unavailable in Emerald and rare FRLG mon like Chansey and Scyther into the mix. GoD also gave some Pokemon exclusive moves only available through it like a Lugia with Psycho Boost. Dolphin is a great emulator and if you ever did want to go for dex completion in Gen 3, PKheX makes transferring easy. I'd definitely recommend giving Colosseum a go. But I've never experienced perfect emulation with Stadium and something always triggers my tism and makes me want to stick with actually playing the game on-cart so I don't know if I could recommend that.

All of the games you mentioned essentially are expansions for the base games (RB/GS/RS/DP). They pretty much fill the roles of what Battle Towers/Frontiers pretty much did, in slightly different ways. I have 100%'d Stadium 2, Colosseum, and currently trying to work on PBR. With that being said, they are also designed to be much more enjoyable with friends. I would say that they're suppose to be battling hubs for when you have more than two people battling (not strictly multis) and are much more fun with friends. So even if you go back and play these games again alone, you are going to have a much worse time completing them than playing them witg friends once in a while.
Colosseum has a good scenario mode though that rivals some of the hardest battles in the series.
