I know this sounds stupid, but I have such severe team autism that I haven't completed a mainline game in about two years since I can't settle on a designated team. And I think about replaying HeartGold in particular every week. Here are my current standards:

-no type overlap
-need to have a fwg core
-cant have a lonesome single or dual typed Mon if the rest of the team is not
-cannot have overlapping colors
-always need a red, blue, and green mon according to Pokedex color
-need to have a majority of the mons from the region (ie. at least 3 Johto mons in a Johto game, so on)
-need to have an even number of non regional mons (2,3, or none at all)
-the pattern of foreign mons needs to be arithmetically pleasing (124444 in a Sinnoh game, I can't put it into words)
-mons only available in the regional dex and the main game
-no regional birds
-no more than one starter
-no psuedos
-no eeveelutions
-need to have a balance of physical and special attackers
-need to have balance of slow and fast mons
-need to have a balance of defensive and offensive mons
-need to learn all of the good tms of most types (coverage reasons)
-mons cannot be too weak nor too strong
-no over chosen mons for playthoughs (ie. no excadrill get al.)
-majority of team members need to be found before the 4th badge
-need to get through the main game in ~24 hours over the course of 3 days
-if I take a break I quit
-if I take too long I quit
-have to do the game in one go

How do I stop this continual spiral of autism???? Just end it already.
