The whole point of types is that they're what element that species specializes in. So having a Water type not usually use any Water attacks was weird, as was having a Pokemon with blades for arms not actually use its blades for any attacks.

Even though it isn't in my personal top ten, Kabutops from an objective standpoint has to be one of the best designed pokemon of all time. Everything about its look and theme blend and work so well together.

Just be happy it's able to use both STABs with its Attack stat.

It's either Ancient Power or Meteor "Needs a Power Herb or It's Two Turns To Miss" Beam for Aurorus with its Rock STAB because of a certain incompetent indie developer.

this makes less sense pre gen 4 when all water attacks were special whereas using scythe arms is a very physical action
if anything kabutops would be using its scyther to summon water

Liquidiation is one of those moves that's animated differently depending on the Pokemon. For Golisopod, it was a sword made of water. For Grapploct, its tentacles are covered in water and it does a flurry of punches. For Inteleon, its hands and feet are covered in water and it punches and kicks with them. If a Pokemon without arms were to use it, it'd probably be like the game description.
