This scene is from the Masters Tournament trailer, for the episode after the Paul one. Pignite, Krookodile, Charizard, and Infernape are all watching the tournament at home with Oak, Delia, and Tracey, so it's a safe assumption that they aren't being used. Plus there's not really a point when Ash is only battling 3 opponents in 3v3 matches.
