>>50561808>the logical progression would be people start leaving with no one to replace themTo a degree i'd say that's part of the slowdown we've had, but it's also not *quite* true either as we also have had a steady influx of new people too.
I'd say the real issue is just everybody involved is increasingly busier with IRL commitments. A lot of the people who were fresh out of highschool or in college at the time back in 2013, 2014, etc are now in graduate school or in their careers these days, so there's simply less time in general.
Additionally, some of the very key people who who pulled the weight of multiple other contributors as both artists, spriters, tile artists, etc can't contribute anymore due to medical issues. We don't have a ton of people who can makie brand new visual assets right now, and while that's an issue, when so many of us are busy and we can only meet up and submit new area proposals infrequently it's not the main issue.
The project isn't dead, by any means, stuff is still being done, increasingly so lately, but yeah. And if anybody DOES want to see it move faster, if you can make content or have experience, you can always join.
>I remember some devs used to do Sage Sunday to keep people updated, Frankly, I think I am the only dev in the project at the moment who really particularly cares about /vp/ outreach. Maybe I could go out of my way to do sage update threads every other month, but it's eassier for me to just answer questions when I see threads pop up like I am now.
