Metagross has a decent movepool already. What it really needs is a new ability. Clear Body is nice but not enough in a non-dynamax meta.

This wouldn't work since Clear Body does not prevent you from lowering your own stats. For instance, Metagross using Hammer Arm will still have its speed dropped

Honestly just make clear body stop stat drops from moves too. It obviously wouldn't be too strong if fucking contrary is allowed to exist. If they're scared of shell smash just make sure no clear body mon every gets it.
