Why are people sure that the Shiny Charm and Poke Radar bugs in BDSP are actual bugs, and not intentional nerfs to those features?

>Shiny Charm only works for egg hatching now (despite the item description not specifying this change)

>Poke Radar only gives guaranteed IVs at 20, 30, 40, etc encounters, but not in-between

Are they bugs or nerfs in your opinion?

Yes, I get that. But I find it interesting that ILCA decided not to fix the Shiny Charm and Poke Radar, despite fixing almost every other major bug in the game. To me, this means the Shiny Charm and Poke Radar bugs were actually nerfs, and not bugs.

It’s a nerf, shiny hunting in Gen 4 was actually laughably easy people were just stupid back then. Even without Pokeradar in BDSP you can get any chainabale shiny in an hour or two.

The fact the unerground has diglett boosts for shiny hunting makes me think that was all intended

That I don't know, because I A) don't care about the numbers side of the things and B) I never used the radar at any stage of it being a thing, so can't comment on its implementation here, beyond the obvious.

It's either a bug or ILCA was so retarded they couldn't get the increased chance working with Radar chains so they just scrapped it and made it only work with eggs, hoping no one would notice.
Given the Japanese audience literally never complains the fact that people are aware to it is probably unknown to them.

Fair enough, but similarly, previous games don't specify hatched Pokemon, only wild encounters. I think maybe ILCA just copied the text and didn't find it necessary to change it.
