yeah, when referring to the species you say they, when referring to an individual you say he/she/it but a lot of people on this board seem to confuse species and individuals, this is probably because recent pokemon have been more like characters instead of monster species. Beedrill is obviously a monster found in the wild while cinderace for example looks more like a character, an individual
