It's still the best Pokemon game in years, best on the Switch, better than every 3DS pokemon game too.

PLA is the game this series needed.
Also the Gen 4 remakes were shit because Gamefreak was too cheap to outsource to a company that actually knows how to make video games.

technologically, it was a piece of fucking shit. Pop in, no voice acting, old generation graphics, standard fare for Pokemon in the last decade. But they finally mixed up the fucking gameplay. The old formula was so stale that a new playstyle made people lose their shit.
