Because the legendaries can turn into motorcycles that you ride around and the gas stations let you heal your shit without the hassle of returning to a city/entering a building

Because there aren't going to be nearly as many towns, they are putting these stations around the world so that they can still call it an open world, all while without TOTALLY inconveniencing the player. Except those Day/Night fags. These stations are the excuse why you can heal without having to rest, locking the game's time to IRL time hahahahaha

I think it's going to be a decentralized world without traditional routes, meaning there's not really a town to gravitate towards for your pokemart and center needs.

They're like kiosks. Tbh it's pretty comfy.

so we see the shot of the gas station from another angle and there is a red/blue/green divide there, presumably for 3 different functions. Red is obviously center, blue is mart, but what the hell is the green part?

It makes sense since most of spain is empty, when traveling throught the country you will find lots of petrol and service stations in the middle of nowhere but not many villages

Could be a connection point for online, you go there when you want to join a sessions and you spawn in those points when you want to enter another player's world. That or it's the point where you reload your motorcycle legend

Well when I went to Spain in the old cities they just kind of pop a small gas station wherever they had a little space, seen a lot of them in Seville specially, just random pumps in random places.
