It's REALLY politically wierd that for a game based in Spain the decided to go with......OF all colors......the exact two colors that have huge and very specific political connotations in specifically Spain and no where else on the planet.
In Spain there was a huge revolutionary war between tradditionalist fascists, which were represented with red/scarlet and a coalition of leftist forces which were represented with purple/violet, which killed a huge amount of people and they are still represented by those colors today. In Spain, and only Spain.
Because on the rest of the planet red = leftism and purple = monarchism.
And now
Nintendo is out here making Pokémon Scarlet about tradition and the past while Pokémon Violet is about progress and the future.
My god, that's blatant and on purpose.
Whyyyy?????
