I agree, but at the same time I also like the statues of BDSP Secret Bases. They're fun to search for and at least you can use a pedestal to decorate a little bit.

The statues are fine and I love how they can influence what ‘mons you find underground but man I just really miss the stuffed animals and music panels and stuff. So much soul, lost like tears in the rain.

I just got it, and after 100% completing Arceus, I got bored of BDSP 10 minutes in. The same fucking game I played a trillion times but with a horrible art style. Same boring battles and shit animations. Honestly, the only thing I'm looking forward to is the supposedly über difficult Cynthia. If she's more difficult than Volo and Arceus, I guess that'll save the game from being completely bore-festive.

Well, it's truthfully both. I replayed Platinum a little over a year ago. But it's more that I just don't want to go back to cutscene battles in a pocket dimension. I don't want to go back to random encounters in the grass. Everything takes so long. Plus the art style and chibis are so fucking ugly unlike Platinum's pixel charm. The camera zooms in just to watch their low-res faces barely change and have them bob uncontrollably like autists waiting for their M&M rewards.

Is it really fair to compare a literal 1 to 1 remake of a game made back when pokemon was okay to the modern slop? Like, every choice made by the remake itself is terrible, the same kind of garbage decisions as the rest of the series, the only thing holding it up is the fact that it's a very straightforward remake of an older game.
