>>50602322When they first came out I thought Gen 4 didn't felt too different from Gen 3 and that Gen 5 was too different from everything that came before, now I see it differently, Gen 4 is the ultimate state of classic Pokemon and Gen 5 was a great example of making an old franchise feel fresh again, it's the duality of "perfecting a craft" and "reboot", since Gen 6 the games are hammering the same key now, you can't say they're reboots or say they're perfecting a craft because they're always dropping features or switching it for another half-baked one.
