So am I just being autistic, or was this some sort of hint for the gimmick? This shot happens right after the box art shot, right at the end of the trailer, and there seems to be no other reason for it. Pokeball symbols with crystal marks can be seen in both trailers as well, so it seems like its a generational motif after all. Also remember box legendaries are rarely directly connected to the gimmick. Sometimes they're linked inderectly like the xy duo, but never too significantly.
