It's a little unclear. Some entries seem kinda bullshit, but the dex also produces information that I have trouble believing the kid would know, like the heights and weights of the Pokemon and their locations (sometimes saying they're located in places you haven't been to yet). So there's probably also some "scanning" aspect to it.
I just think it would be funny if they made it REALLY obvious that it's a clueless kid writing the dex entries. It's not like people actually use the Pokedex in gameplay.

I like tradition more than future as an idea but I'm not impressed with Sada. There's no tradition to being a caveman. There's no benefit to embracing that. So Sada being the villain of Violet and Turo being the villain of Scarlet.
Then you need to capture the box legendary for the game to oppose them as they try to fuck shit up with the opposite legendary.

Honestly the idea that the descriptions of the Pokemon in the pokedex are written by the main character has always appealed to me, it would explain quite well how each pokedex has different information that sometimes contradicts each other, not to mention how some pokemon have stories that seem like the typical story they tell to children to make them behave well.
