I'd also argue if they're incompetent that means they're not passionate by default because they're not working on their skills to make the best game possible. And their development times are not an excuse when much better games were made in less time from scratch with no existing material or game design to reuse.
>>50607499Yes, soulless ones are cold machines looking to minimize costs and maximize profits, however companies that have actual living people heading them also take part in risky passion projects and investing money into things that don't necessarily mean a ROI multiplier, like Laika which basically never turned a profit on their stop motion movies but keep making them anyway, or Riot going all out on Arcane's animation even though meme live action trash like Squid Game beat it in viewership.
