Change it out now before it leaks and destroys the PCB.
I did mine in 2018 and one of my games leaked but luckily it still works.

At this point all original batteries are past it and the issue is that they are an acid time bomb and not if they might still hold power or not.

Yeah I don't get it. For reference my Red, Blue and Yellow are all fine but my TCG cart that I bought new sealed in a bargain bin in 2004 conked out a year or two ago, makes no sense.

You can't transfer between Gen 2 and Gen 3 officially in any way.

I didn't know that, that sucks. But it makes sense in hindsight. Colosseum exists to replace the lost monsters, not transfer them. My mistake.
