Which version is everyone getting and why? I want to get Violet, but I got the first pick last gen between me and my friend. Also which version do you think will sell more copies?

This will be the first time I buy both.

Got a strong feeling the gameplay experience is going to be completely between them both.

Scarlet is set in the past, Violet is the same region far in the future. I want to experience them both in order.

No it is not. (You), other trainers and pokemon gas stops look exactly the same between versions, the professors are just weird and one dimensional.
