These freaks are very obviously going to the villains this gen. Theyll be extemests, a very dumb down analogy for progressive and conservatives probably with a shitty message about centrism.

i can definitely imagine gamefreak accidentally making the well intentioned extremist too based for a baby game and inevitably castrating them in the third act by suddenly making them violent freaks or psychos out of the blue, similar to how had to fuck up team plasma to get out from having to actually explain why they were wrong

Well, yeah. I'm not one myself, but I put it in quotes because the protagonist of a Pokemon game should neutralize TWO SIDES if anything, by being stronger than the bad guys and/or becoming champion, something like that.
