Pokemon games always test features for proof of concept. Alola had rentalrides and Totems, LGPE tested out following again, PLA tested seamless battles and further removing HM's from the system for pokemon, and Alphas. Galar tested co-op content with Max Raids ScarVio will undobtebly be HM free, pokemon riding (Legendaries with forms) Co-op for the seamless battle system, and some type of Alpha pokemon or Raids. Shit the new thing they might test out is Scaling gyms since you can challenge them in any order, meaning they already scale the gym team to your level and progression, so why not scaling for 1v1-1v4?
