Smoliv is pretty cute, its managed to grow on me a lot, one of the better plant baby designs for sure, now its just a matter of if it will go the waifumon plant route or not, it doesn't really lend itself to that as well as Petilil or Bounsweet do, so I'm guessing it'll avoid it, but we'll see

If I had to guess maybe its just cause its oil? For some reason? End day all it means is it gains immunity to ghosts and gets hit by fists harder so isn't the worst thing for it.

Pawmi being a pikaclone is pretty boring. Like we know it won't evolve and won't be particularly useful or interesting.
Smoliv and Lechonk could evolve into something that would actually be used on a team. They probably won't and will just be you're basic early two stage shitmon, but they could.

This makes by far the most sense. I don't think they're going to give a Pokemon Normal just to drop it later, especially when it's a design that doesn't really fit as Normal. Maybe it'll become a singer or something and it's normal so it can get STAB Boomburst.

Then it'd just be pure Grass. Fletchling only did it because Normal/Flying is already such a common type and pure Flying wasn't established as something anyone but Tornadus could have yet.

Why the fuck did they give it early bird though. The older pokemon I can understand, but nowadays there's no fucking reason to make a new grass pokemon with early bird. It's already basically immune to sleep.
Hopefully the ability changes after evolution.
