So I'm assuming that all the improvements from Legends will only be seen in the next game since SV aren't even including the physical attack animations from Legends.

Game Freak is only consistent with being inconsistent.
There is a surprising amount of stuff they discard just because it's inconvenient for them to try and make standard.

Legends got battle animations because it only had 250 Pokemon. GF isn't going to want to do that for all Pokemon going forward, assuming SV ends up having most Pokemon like SWSH.
