It's so obvious that these box legends are going to turn into vehicles that you can ride, hence the wheels/handles. This also explains the Pokemon Center gas stops that have a green key section (hire-a-car style).

What a shitshow this Gen is going to be. This barely even resembles Pokemon anymore.

Even if we do get to ride the legends around the region, why is that so bad? Pokemon have been used as mounts since XY and you're having a tantrum because they're expanding on that? Over a feature that has received almost universal praise since its introduction and is missed when it's not in other games?

You didn’t complain when we literally have HMs, and when we got Ride Pokémon in Gen 7. Either cope, or make a better argument about how this game is stale even though you and some faggots are gonna be praising it years later like the fandom does with every new generation. I'm really not a fan of the motorcycle design either, I think I wouldn't mind if they were standard Pokemon but making the box legends glorified ride Pokemon kinda sucks.

This is such a strange leap of logic.
I like riding Pokemon because you're taking this cool beast and riding on its back like you would a horse. The idea of flying on the back of your tamed dragon you raised from a little lizard has near infinte, timeless appeal.
That doesn't mean I want my dragon to literally morph into a motorcycle complete with a seat and handlebars. Gogoat should have been as far as they went with that kind of design philosophy.

The other thing people are missing is that this means you can literally only ride the box legends. Rember how people praised LGPE because you could ride in Khanga's pouch, hang onto Snorlax or fly with your Charizard? Pretty much all of that is out the window, we only get these two now.

For me personally I think it'd be cool if we got the box legends early or about the time we got the Latis in ORAS.
We never get to DO anything with Legends we get them around the 7th/8th gym usually and by then the stories over.
Having legends early would be fun, they could use the legend narratively as the actual protag and we get to see how they react to Team baddies doing whatever.
But I'm sure korai and mirai will be at the end as usual.

And you know this how? It doesn't even make any sense as an assumption, unless you capture them an hour into the game that means you'll be without any form of transportation for like 80% of an open world game. There are either going to be other Pokemon you can ride or a traditional bike system or something.

ORAS had Eon Flute Lati@s. SM has a ton of ride Pokemon like Tauros, Stoutland, Lapras, Charizard, Mudsdale, Sharpedo and Mantine. PLA had Wyrdeer, Sneasler, Braviary, Basculegion, and Ursaluna. There's no reason for Gen 9 to not follow suit. In fact I think it'll double down on the trend.

The pokemon are obviously themed after motorcycles, yes. That doesn't mean Koraidon is literally going to morph into a Yamaha though, I don't know where you're getting that idea. It can just run on the ground with the wheel shapes on its chest and tail giving the impression of a motorcycle, the same way as you mentioned Gogoat gives the impression of a moped.

With how much shit Gen 6 gets (not that it isn't entirely deserved) I do think that Soaring was one of the few good things it brought to the table and I believe that every Pokemon game would've been greatly improved if it were implemented. Instead of replacing HMs with the exact same shit except you can access it all the time and it doesn't take a move slot, make it an actual fucking part of the gameplay like Soaring or Mantine Surf. All it does is immerse the player more by connecting the world and making it feel alive.

You cannot be serious, they both have handlebar horns, you can see the spot where a seat will be on the purple one, there's a large difference between Gogoat being a goat that happens to have horns you can grab onto and a Pokemon having handlebar horns, AND a massive tire on its chest AND a built in seat, it just looks ridiculous. They look more organic than the joke that is Carkoal but that's not exactly a high bar.

What on god's green earth are you talking about? Outside of the handlebars, it is very clearly a standard grassy goat Pokemon similar to Sawsbuck. You could remove/shorten the horns and the design would not suffer for it, unlike the SV dragons that are completely married to the motorcycle theme at their detriment.

What I'm wondering is when you get them in the game?
Because it would be absurd to get them 1-2 gyms in when it would be reasonable to get a bike. They'd be way too powerful for the point in the game and more importantly they'd end up being really demystified.
But if you get them 7-8 gyms in when you'd usually get a legendary, you'd have no time to actually play around with them.
Maybe if you get another, worse ride Pokemon first, and then you got the legendary late in the game.
