Sun/Moon was legitimately great though. The man knows how to do worldbuilding and characters. Which makes Sword/Shield feel so weird by comparison.

Gen 7 was saved by the art department, not game design. Gen 7 directed by Masuda might've actually been top-tier.

Sun and Moon has the best characters or attempt at actual characters out of all the games, I also really like how much they worked with the Hawaii theme throughout the entire game and while I don't really give a shit about the Ultra Beasts myself I think some of them have some cool designs in how alien they look for the series.
Also Chicken is the best female protagonist
