Venonat is in the regional dex for the first time in forever, and is long overdue an evolution.

It should change type desu. Maybe make it Psychic to tie in to it inexplicably being on Sabrina's team back in the day?

I wouldn’t. Koga’s signature Pokémon in Yellow and one of his main Gen II Pokémon is Venomoth.

Just give it a BST adjustment instead, there's no reason for it to continue being so shit. Just like so many other Pokemon, 25 speed and 25 special defense would be enough to make Venomoth useable without making you feel like an absolute cuck for daring to play with the Pokemon you like.

I think the anon was talking about a type change to Bug/Psychic — but that shouldn’t matter anyway because the other two stages would still be Poison and it didn’t stop Aaron from using Drapion.
