Losing its Ground immunity upon Mega Evolution was always a retarded downgrade. And an ability that changes your Normal moves to Fairy is pretty useless when you can only learn one physical move that can exploit it and two other moves that make it redundant

Drapion should replace Keen Eye with Merciless
Lame to keep such a cool ability locked on a Pokemon that would just use Regenerator anyways. Works well conceptually with Drapion as well.

Ah, makes sense but weavile can't even 2 shot Ferro and ferro one shots him body press. I guess not losing the HP matters.
Honestly, Ferro alone makes Long Reach niche instead of utterly worthless.

Give Metagross Tough Claws as a second ability. Would be strong, but it's currently basically useless with just Clear Body and would still be countered by the many Fire and Ground types in PvP.

Yes because now having a Pokémon out who doesn’t have a coverage move for Shedinja out for a single turn means risking the entire match as Shedinja has a free switch in and a free turn to do anything since the opponent has to concede a full turn. With team preview you can spend the first 20 seconds of a match determining who you can freely switch Shedinja into and just how much you can abuse the momentum. There’s a reason why people want him banned from random battles, I love Shedinja but he needs to be bad.

Relace Sheer Force or Mold Breaker with Rock Head.

It's not like altaria falls on top of spikes or sticky web upon losing the flying type, so it's not that bad. But it does learn both play rough and moonblast, so they could have given it an ability like fluffy, if only fluffy had existed before gen 7

It should still be affected by wow, rocks and sandstorm, because they're fire and rock type conditions respectively. It should be immune to seeds, hail, spikes, toxic, toxic spikes and copperajah steel spikes, because none of their types would hit it supereffectively.

That way there's still some status and weather counterplay to it, but for other situations its value raises immensely.
