Pokemon have never been more lifelike than on the 3DS, and the only good sprites are the ones from Gen 2.

It's genuinely frustrating that Amie/Refresh have such good animations, and none of them are used in battle.
Some Pokemon have unique sleeping animations, but when they're put to sleep in battle, they just close their eyes and don't change their stance at all.

Pokemon was always shit but it went from charmingly bad to SOULLESS as early as when they tried peddling Blue to Japanese Kids, and then reached the point of no return when Ishihara advised and heavily pushed for localization, all in spite of how "too Japanese" the franchise was in NoA's eyes.

I would prefer if they added the sleeping animations. You see it more often than the odd case where someone uses Sleep Talk. I would just eliminate the animation and keep the attack on the opponent.
