I'm starting to like everything about Scarlet and Violet now
It's looking like to be a fun game
I'm starting to like all of the Pokemon except Pawmi
Even the girls look fun too

It was only the sprites that weren't very appealing in BW the overworld looks leagues better than anything that came before it (and even some games that came after)

When I was replaying Gen 5 games earlier this year, the battles looked decent but maybe that's just because they look okay in motion and were on a small DS screen?

They're just very messy with their pixels, not caring about their scaling or even if they stay as even squares.
Gen 5 has a much more dynamic, interesting image, but lacks the clean, sharp, easy on the eyes look of hgss.

I think they'll be surprisingly enjoyable with friends.
Will be extremely content dry, obviously no battle frontier or anything, no contests or equivalent side content minigames. But will be extremely "chill" and easy to play, a comfy environment to breed and battle online, which will be fun for a year until they bring all the legendaries and incineroar back.
The artstyle is worse but also more consistent. The visuals aren't great but are far more in line with other switch games. I think the game will be surprisingly comfy due to reduced pop in, frame rate drops, and repeating textures compared to PLA (at least so far from the trailers), since these things can get really distracting and take you out of the experience
Hopefully no more mouse cursors in the cutscenes either.

Probably won't have battle frontier, but I feel like they'd add some sorta minigame for the 4 player coop aspect. Maybe races since there's been a lot of stuff themed around vehicles in that second trailer.

Yeah I think there will be stuff like that. But what I mean is there won't really be anything to do with your Pokemon besides battle them online. Series stopped adding gimmicky battle facilities and dumbed down the battle tower, and stopped adding different activities you could do with your Pokemon with progression systems.

This might be a cope, but I'm low key hoping if they add the racing stuff that its at least as indepth as say pokeathlon. Maybe not every Pokemon but you use your own pokemon and work with their stats to make them faster.
I know that's too soulful for modern GF but one can hope.

However, brits, French and blacks fenotype is fucking disgusting compared to other European regions

But my point is that 9th Gen characters are mostly cute and/or hot
And complaining is stupid, specially when you compare with 5th Gen, because it had the ugliest characters

Even the bad Pokemon games manage to be fun for a while, it's no surprise this one seems fun too. Especially now that the game is nonlinear, this is the first mainline game where you could have a fundamentally different playthrough than someone else. Imagine you and a friend playing the game and just going in two totally different directions from the start. Different Pokemon, different gyms, different everything. You can finally beeline to the ice area and start with an ice Pokemon. This has a LOT of potential.
