It's laughable how bad Nintendo's hardware is and how they have yet to make a revision to fix this so that issues are at least mitigated if not reasonably solved (every moving part will fail eventually even if used as carefully as possible under ideal circumstances) going forward, but at least it's a relatively simple fix.
