New idea for a gimmick, in exchange for type and potential movepool diversity, if you have a team of pokemon of one type you receive various benefits for your team. My design philosophy is aiding the type Offensively and Defensively as they need it as well as some utility unique to the personality of the type. For example;
>Ice
- Sound-based moves used against fire-types are now super-effective.
- If Blizzard misses or one of your Ice-type pokemon faint, a Hail will occur for 3 turns.
- Ice-type moves have +20% power and +10% accuracy in Hail.
- Opposing pokemon attacks will always be calculated from your highest defense stat.
- etc.
Come up with bonuses for various types so they could potentially compete against a more diverse competitive team.
