the single biggest problem with this franchise is the consoomers who will auto-buy any mainline game no matter how shitty it is, gobble up the worst anime in the history of the medium, hoard as much cheap shitty merchandise as they can get their hands on, but then refuse to support stuff like mystery dungeon, ranger, pokespe, etc. that's had actual effort put in. until the fanbase gets some standards, any changes at game freak or tpc is just shuffling the deck chairs on the titanic.
