DS era was my favourite as well, but there is no metric where it is the peak.
As shocking as it may be gen 8 is actually the new peak of the series with how many zoomers and normalfags got new or renewed interest in the series due to the wider audience appeal of the console and pokemon cards blowing up to unrecognized proportions

You’ll look dorky honestly, but I love my console and I’m 26. Who cares what other people think? The 3ds library alone is pretty great. I think the more frustrating/sad part is that there’s barely anyone else So social features are near dead. Otherwise go for it

"competitive" multiplayer is what i think did it.
nothing wrong with playing mario kart or minecraft with friends. but playing ranked in csgo just cant be healthy. but i guess one does leads to the other. still though, i like co op.
