On one hand yeah it's stupid to blame Turner and Masuda for 100% of the problems plaguing Pokemon but on the other hand we've had years of interviews proving Masuda was well out of touch and a lot of negative attributes to the series like hallway routes can be directly sourced to Masuda being afraid children would choose phone games over Pokemon. BDSP and LGPE were directed by Masuda and both of them were bad games, meanwhile PLA has been the most universally well received Pokemon game since the 3DS era and SV seems to be following in its footsteps.
Pokemon isn't SAVED but its definitely better off without him and you can't prove me wrong. And Gen 8 fucking sucked so I'm glad turner is gone.
