The TPCi dub of Pokemon since late Gen 3 has been hot trash and a shitty imitation. Bring back the original voice actors already

Yeah, but we could've had years more of the original VAs. Hell, for all we know, had that actually happened and things turned out differently, Meowth's VA could still be alive. It's all bullshit

TPCI is a bunch of greedy fucks who thought kids couldn't tell the difference. I remember looking up why Ash's voice sounded different when I was like 9 or 10. Growing up IIRC AG was still going on, Cartoon Network reran the first 2 gens' episodes early in the morning and Blockbuster used to have gen 1 tapes before going all-in with DVD. Just stick with subs like I did.

the nu-VAs have been around much longer than OGs. if they reversed course right now, today's kids would feel the way you felt at the tailend of gen 3

who was at fault anyway? were the OG VAs asking for too much or did TPCi just refuse to play ball?

Simple. The real answer is TPC wanted full control over dubbing, so they wrangled it from 4Kids and dropped it off onto TPCi, effective Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon onward.

Most of the voice actors don't even really work in the industry anymore. Some will come back for an anime or a video game, but not anything as massive as pokemon.
