Diantha is also extremely easy to beat because she uses shitmons like Aurorus and her Gardevoir has a terrible moveset. Even other monotype Champions are harder. Iris has Lapras, Alder has Pokemon which are 10-20 levels higher than yours, and Wallace has a Ludicolo that spams Double Team (which is a pain in the ass if you don't have a Pokemon with Aerial Ace).
