>>50701962Their "main" moves do not reset, these are the moves they have in SWSH and the moves they retain from previous games. Currently, if a Pokemon cannot enter SWSH and is only present on HOME, you cannot check its moves on console unless you're using BDSP or Arceus but you can see their moves on the phone version of HOME. I have a Donphan with Water Gun from Pokemon Crystal stored on HOME that cannot enter SWSH, and he still retains that at the moment. If I transfer that Donphan into BDSP or Arceus, he will get a default moveset for his level, but when I transfer him back out he will have the Water Gun moveset when viewed in HOME on a phone. Now the question is, will these "main" moves be retained to Scarlet and Violet as they are retained in SWSH, or will the move reset become the standard going forward for all games. I don't think it will, I think it's intended for side games, including remakes of games that doesn't have the exact same movepools used in the primary title for that gen.
