Interested to see what hidden ability or signature move it might get. Also not positive it’s going to stay a duck: could easily become another waterbird. I’d be happy to see a gannet or booby, an albatross, a frigatebird, a stork, a petrel, a crane, or just about anything else, really.

Empoleon is a flightless bird
Decidueye's concept fits Ghost better

There's a number of Fighting Pokemon that carry weapons or objects, and you're ignoring how Sacred Sword and the Swords of Justice use Fighting to express their sword theme. Just saying, there's a fairly significant precedence here.
