Assume there was a gimmick that if you gave a pure-type pokemon a held item, it would give it a secondary typing. But it could only gain a typing as long as it had an attacking move of that type in it's moveset.

What are some good candidates?

Blastoise + Steel/Ground/Dragon

Milotic + Dragon

Dusclops + Dark

Copperajah + Fairy

Could absolutely break some Pokemon giving them immunities.
That said, Altaria could be Dragon/Fairy again

It's only for pokemon with one typing to begin with.

Would having a Snorlax with either Lick or Shadow Ball in it's moveset be worth it. Part poison would be another option.

I don't think Sudowoodo would gain grass type, The whole point is that it's supposed to appear like a grass type when it isn't.

It gets Wood Hammer which I always thought was as close as it needed in terms of Grass Moves and Typing.
