The only saving grace I could see for this franchise is if they release something as terrible as Sonic 06 which would cause some real backlash, although even then I'm fairly certain there's be too many apologists still defending and buying it. This fanbase just doesn't care about quality at all, they're just obsessed with being loyal to the brand.
