For some people that's part of what they like about Gen 7. But for me this is where I took off from Pokemon.

Hoping for less of these obnoxious intrusions going forward now that we're in open world territory.

There's an unskippable tutorial that drags on for way too long. There's no adventure, no sense of exploration, they just shovel baby's first tutorial down your throat for the first hour of the game.

Gen 7 is a very hit or miss game due to how different it is. As you said, it's basically a VN and if you don't really like the story or characters, you're going to have a bad time. Now stop being a contriving asinine fuck.
