I preferred Colosseum. Better atmosphere, and I liked the limited selection of (mostly johto) shitmons that made the game harder because you had to work with what you had. That said, purifying shadow pokemon was tedious bullshit and XD did a better job making that less painful.
I wish they'd make another side-game like colosseum/XD. I really enjoyed the focus on double battles that actually made it worthwhile to plan around doubles. Unlike in main games where double battles are so infrequent that there's no point bothering with doubles strategies.
