I got a copy of Sword as a gift (DLC included one) but I haven't gotten too far into it. Two or three badges I think? You think I should continue and see it through the end or attempt to trade it in for Legends Arceus?

This. Sword and Shield are easily the worst games in the series, while Arceus at least tries to do something different and ends up being the best Pokémon game in 10 years.

Not that it's a super great game either, but it's the best Pokémon since BW, which says a lot on how low the overall quality of the series has gone

It's too bad this game wasn't as good as it could have been. Raid battles were fun for a bit. The gyms are best in series in terms of atmosphere and music. Super hype. It's just a shame that the difficulty is going down and down without an option for a harder mode.

Legends Arceus on the other hand delivers something that we've been wanting for so long. Basically the whole game is the wild area and tossing your pokeballs and fighting pokemon seemlessly in the wild is so satisfying. As a completionist, I enjoyed researching the pokemon. But a few friends of mine got burnt out and hated the "pokemon go" aspect of it.

Overall I enjoyed Arceus more but Sword was still ok.
