This was before the retarded breeding system existed so I'm not even saying these extra things (adult male kanga and baby evolving into regular kanga) would have to be in game, you can just accept you don't see those cases in game even if they exist in universe.
It's not like the current bullshit system is any better with kangaskhan hatching out of eggs with a baby on their pouch and cubone hatching out of eggs with the skulls of their dead mother even though she's still alive(and can even be just a ditto)
