So this pretty much confirms Alain is the weakest among Masters 8 right? Holy shit this is pathetic, even Iris puts more of a fight against Cynthia.

I'd say the fight was pretty even. Lance's gyarados overpowered Zards flamethrower with hyper beam Not even a water type attack. Thunder punch also can hurt the 4x weak gyarados so that also makes sense. Leon's Dynamax advantage gave him the advantage in that fight.

It also kind if implies that if it was Cynthia/Steven (and probaly also Ash or Diantha) instead of Lance AND the fight wasnt in Galar - Leon would have lost. Because all of those are on par or stronger than Lance and they all have Megas which would have comfortably beaten base Zard

And Alain is simply much weaker than Lance. His MCX doesnt measure up to a single champion ace.

It sounds to me like you're completely ignoring evidence that 100% dismisses your claim. The Alain battle is directly relevant in fact since it shows his Dynamax timing isn't tied to any sense of desperation, as you had been trying to unwisely rely on as a basis for determining power level.

Malamar getting OHKO'd was a way to show how Alain knows his business about fighting
