1, Psuedos take for fucking ever to raise, even the ones you get late like Bagon and Larvitar, while if you wanna use Gible, Dratini, you gotta keep those little shits alive
2, most Psuedos are balanced by a level limit, ie if you're not over grinding you're not gonna have access to the final forms until the elite 4, except Metagross at 45

1, Legendaries take for fucking ever to raise, since you catch them at a high level and so they require more stat exp grinding
2, most Legendaries are balanced by being a lategame encounter ie they don't turn up until after the 7th badge or postgame the vast majority of the time

Lmao, no not /thread, because 2 out of 8 pseudos don't have a quad weakness, whereas there are tonnes of legendaries outside of Gen I and II that do have quad weaknesses, including Zapdos and Moltres.

Been saying this for a decade. Honestly, mythicals too. Tobias was basically just using two psuedos.
That said, I actually find pseudos much easier to use than legends. A bunch of legends come with shit movesets and high levels but 0 EVs. Pseudos usually get a much better selection of moves due to raising them since they were young and being able to pick better moves and will have gathered a lot of EVs once it reaches the equivalent level.
The only legends I've gotten mileage out of is Zapdos, Raikou, Cobalion, and Terrakion. Alola's minor legends can't even be gotten until after the elite four lul.
Meanwhile, every pseudo except Deino and Dreepy has been useful in the main game for me. That said, the thing about pseudos are that they're actually HARDER to find than legends, ironically. Usually some low percent at some out of the way area.

1. The OP was comparing the birds & dogs, that's why I mentioned them specifically. The only other mythical that have sub600 BST and quad weaknesses is Virizion, so my point still stands

I thought that was the point itt since almost no one has qualms with people using Pseudos against AI (as almost every Champion or at least one major trainer uses a pseudo)

Used Latios in BW2’s postgame recently as the first legendary I’ve ever used against npcs. Ended up being pretty fun to use against Black Tower and the many important trainers
