I'm not getting it. I don't care how "innovative" or whatever the fuck this entry is, I know it's going to be barebones and I am going to hate the pokemon designs and the initial first hour of "Oh, I am starting a new pokemon game" feeling will wash off and I will be dragging my ass through the rest of the game just to see if it "gets better" even though I know full well it won't.

Gen 6 was the beginning of the end and a decade later no new pokemon game has managed to move me. I don't care if pokemon finally looks like the million dollar franchise that it is. This past decade of huffing on hopium that "the next game will be better" has completely killed any interest I have left in this franchise. I've zero hype for Gen 9 and I sincerely hope this franchise just dies. It's long past its due date.
