I doubt the gen 9 champion will have the accomplishments Leon has. There won't be a PWT in gen 9 for the SV champion to win. Cynthia already has a higher leveled team than Leon. The gen 9 champion is more likely to be stronger than Cynthia. GF just needs to make the SV have a higher leveled team than her.

Alola’s final boss couldn’t even beat the guy three different 11 year olds beat back in Gen 1 and 2. Galar is the strongest because they set out with the themes of power and tournaments from day one. Gen 9’s champion will just be some biker.

I think it is unlikely but I do however think there is something there with the hax vs chomp matchup. At the very least it if cynthia does end up winning, haxorus will probably faint chomp and another pokemon wins. All of that said i think the crescendo of the battle will be hax having a flashback to chomp's dclaw inches away from his face.

Everyone else he has beat has been E4-tier level and against one of them he used mememax.

Alain's Charizard is stronger than Ash Greninja, who's more or less on the same level as Ash's new seasonal ace Lucario. Alain getting literally oneshot by Dragon Pulse just reeks of Ash getting garbage plot armor for their eventual final fight if G-Max Charizard isn't oneshotting Ash's whole team.
