>>50755604>Super simply forces you to diversify with your other choices.Yeah and it sucked. I never felt the need to diversify my compositions unless I was actively raising a new Pokemon with the intent to keep them on my team forever, I crafted a whole team of 4 who played off each other in Sky and it was fun. It was awful getting all geared up for a high level dungeon and ready to go, then you start to set up your team only for the Pokemon you were training to be unavailable, I remember having to make a B team, and then a C team, then just dropping the game partway through the postgame for Etrian Mystery Dungeon because I was sick of the game basically telling me how to play.
Like the other anon said, the break system doesn't actually make you diversify, it makes you rely on your starters more than anyone else because they're the only ones with consistency.
This and the fact that the Connection Orb system would cuck you out of specific Pokemon for a really long time were Super's biggest flaw. Obviously collecting the nearly 700 Pokemon in a PMD game would suck ass but they should have had the connection orb AND left classic recruits in.
Also fuck Super for removing the ability to nickname Pokemon, and double fuck them for giving all the Pokemon dialog like in PMD1/2, but making it so uncommon to pop up that little to no people know the lines actually exist. Game was good otherwise.
