Its a shame that the game Bedes in basically threw him under the bus halfway through to shoehorn more Hop encounter’s which further amplified my hatred towards that useless dipshit of a jobber. It sucks since Bede was like one of the only two good characters in base game SWSH with the other being Piers.

His little story arc of trying to please his father figure and fucking it all up is 10x more interesting then anything else they did in the game. I can only think some rookie snuck it in while the main writers were focused on figuring out how to tie the fucking dogs into the plot.

This and I will stand by the fact that Hop doesn’t deserve the legendary dogs whatsoever especially since he did fuck all to earn the right unlike N. Hell ironically Bede in the short time that he was around showed more potential of earning the legendary dogs respect and capture than Hop ever did as someone who lost his way trying to please rose to forging his own path after being disowned. All Hop ever did is get his ass handed to everyone and compromise the dogs weapons which if anything he should be the last fucking person in the universe to catch the dogs.

Hated this little shit so much in SwSh, but I didn't really look much into the story. Then Masters showed me a bit more of his character, and instantly realized how much of a badass he really was. He looks gay af, but so do a lot of the characters in Jojo. They look so flamboyantly dressed and colored, yet they act like high school dropout delinquents looking for a fight. Also Bede reminded me so much like Vegeta in that he's really strong and talented but still has an inferiority complex that makes his character more "deep" than most of the characters in SwSh. A lot of rivals are simply generic punching bags, but Bede is the kind of rival you want to fuck up because he pisses you off and probably piss him the fuck off as well. He's a really good "heel" character. He's got me shilling and getting him to 5/5

Please play the fucking game before posting. The Gym Leader bracket in story happens after the semi-finals. You beat Hop before he can even compete in that bracket. During the main story he gets shit on, right up until the end.
